CCA-RS
Community Advisory Committee
The Community Advisory Committee (CCA-RS), created in 2000, is a committee made up of volunteers. Its members are people from the community, regardless of their field of activity. Participants in the research itself may also be included, and they should be informed of the committee's existence and the option to become members. It is also an advisory and monitoring committee for clinical research, aiming to facilitate dialogue between the community and researchers.
CCA-RS aims to embody the following basic values that affirm its identity:
Closer ties between researchers and the community;
Participatory monitoring of research development;
Ethics that prioritize the confidentiality and safety of the research participant;
Guaranteeing participants access to information regarding any changes in the course of the research development;
Broad and continuous promotion of educational processes within the communities and populations studied;
Commitment to ensuring the population's access to strategic health supplies and services;
Ethics and transparency.
​Currently, the CCA-RS is composed of eight members with diverse backgrounds and representation on the Municipal Health Council, namely:
